Cruachan Power Station is located on the shores of Loch Awe in the Scottish Highlands, between Glasgow and Oban. The huge turbine hall is located 1 km within the hollowed-out mountain of Ben Cruachan.
The visitor centre includes an interactive exhibition for children, café and gift shop, as well as free parking. There are a variety of hiking options from the visitor centre to the dam and Ben Cruachan’s summit.
