Cruachan Power Station is located on the shores of Loch Awe in the Scottish Highlands, between Glasgow and Oban. The huge turbine hall is located 1 km within the hollowed-out mountain of Ben Cruachan.

The visitor centre includes an interactive exhibition for children, café and gift shop, as well as free parking. Guided tours of the pumped storage power station are available through the Cruachan website with visitors and school groups welcomed between February and December. There are a variety of hiking options from the visitor centre to the dam and Ben Cruachan’s summit.
