Dana Day, Director of Human Resources

Dana Day

Dana Day is Director of Human Resources for Drax Biomass. She is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including recruiting and staffing, benefits, performance, change and safety management and employee coaching.

Dana joined Drax Biomass from Franke Kitchen Systems where she was an HR Business Partner supporting plant managers and management teams in all aspects of operations including Unions, employee engagement, performance management, safety, environmental compliance and employee growth and development.

She spent 13 years as Human Resources and Safety Manager for Graphic Packaging, Inc. and various management roles with Flint Ink and Progressive Ink Company.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Concentration on Human Resources from the University of Phoenix. She earned a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification and is a member of the North Louisiana Society of Human Resources Managers (SHRM).

Annmarie Sartor, Communications Officer

Annmarie Sartor

Annmarie Sartor is Communications Officer for Drax Biomass. Her responsibilities include media, governmental, community relations and employee communications.

She joined Drax Biomass in 2018 after 27 years with CenturyLink where she developed and managed internal and external communications strategies supporting media relations, public policy, community relations, executive communications and economic development.

Annmarie has been recognized as one of Northeast Louisiana’s most influential women, a Woman of F.I.R.E. (Fervently Impacting Communities by Renewing Spirits and Empowering Minds) and is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Louisiana. She has published four fictional novels and has served on numerous non-profit and professional boards in leadership roles.

Annmarie is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) and serves as a member of the Ouachita Business Alliance (OBA). She also serves on the Vestry at Grace Episcopal Church.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations from Northeast Louisiana University (now the University of Louisiana at Monroe).

Randy Webster, Director of Engineering

Randy Webster

Randy Webster is Director of Engineering for Drax Biomass. His primary responsibility is for the identification, evaluation and implementation of capital projects. He also works to help solve operating and maintenance challenges.

Randy joined Drax Biomass in 2017. He previously worked for 35 years in the pulp and paper industry, working for such companies as International Paper, Georgia Pacific and Boise Cascade. He also worked for Jacobs Engineering as a Senior Project Manager. His experience is in engineering, maintenance and operations, specifically boilers and power generation.

Randy holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

Becky Pullin, Director of Finance

Becky Pullin

Becky Pullin is Director of Finance for Drax Biomass. She is responsible for all aspects of finance across the company including analyzing and reporting financial performance to Management, monitoring budgets and forecasts for all business units, managing cash flows, and ensuring that internal controls are in place and operating effectively.

Becky joined Drax in 2018 with 15 years professional experience in different aspects of Finance and Accounting including manufacturing accounting, public accounting, telecommunications industry and tax.

She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and holds a Louisiana CPA license.

Amber Bouska, VP HSE North America

Amber Bouska, VP HSE North America

Amber Bouska is the Vice President of North American HSE Drax Biomass. Her responsibilities include regulatory compliance, developing and implementing policies and instructions on HSE topics, and all training.
She joined Drax Biomass in 2019 after 2 years with Amazon as a Site Safety Manager. Prior to Amazon she worked in the Biomass industry as an Operational Manager and the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager developing industry standards for safety and environmental compliance.

Amber is a Navy Veteran with numerous achievement medals during her service. Currently serves a Chairperson for the USIPA Safety Work Group.

She holds a Master of Science Degree in Safety, Security, & Emergency Management and a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Safety from Eastern Kentucky University.

Brad Mayhew, VP Technical Operations

Brad Mayhew

Brad Mayhew, VP Technical Operations is responsible for the process safety management (PSM) program, process automation, plant reliability, and process engineering for the North American pellet plants. Brad joined Drax in 2015 and has been involved in the startup and operations of pellet plants in the Southeast U.S. since 2009.

Brad holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in project management from DeVry University, Pomona California.

Andrew Meyer, VP Fibre Procurement North America

Andrew Meyer, VP Fibre Procurement North America

Andrew Meyer is the Vice President Fibre Procurement North America. Andrew is responsible for all aspects of Fibre Procurement across the North American Operations.  Previously, Andrew held the positions of VP Fibre, GM Fibre Operations, and Plant Manager of Lavington Mill with Pinnacle.  Andrew’s extensive knowledge of the pellet and forest products industries provides a rare perspective that ensures a strong understanding of the entire supply chain, sustainability, quality, safety and profitability.

Andrew has spent more than 25 years working in the complex world of remote forestry, using a value-based, safety-focused, results driven approach to move business forward in the areas of planning, fibre harvesting and product manufacturing across the forest industry in British Columbia.  Andrew was a BC Forest Safety Council Manufacturing Safety Award recipient (2016 Leadership).  He is both a Professional Engineer (BC) and a Registered Professional Forester (BC) and he holds a Bachelor of Science (Forest Engineering) from the University of New Brunswick.

Adnan Khan, VP North America H1 Engineering

Adnan Khan, VP North America H1 Engineering

Adnan Khan was appointed VP North America H1 Engineering in 2021. Adnan will be supporting engineering projects focused on improving safety, reliability, and production efficiency at the North American biomass facilities. Adnan brings over 25 years of international project, operations, and organizational leadership experience, both as a client and as a consultant, safely executing complex projects in forestry including pulp and paper and OSB, high tech environmental technologies including fuel cells and phosphate recovery, mining, chemicals, and oil and gas.

Prior to joining Pinnacle, Adnan served as General Manager and Division Manager at various consulting firms where he safely and efficiently implemented new and innovative technologies for the OSB and mining industries. He also served as Director of Automation for Ainsworth Engineered and was responsible for identifying and safely executing continuous improvement projects for multiple OSB facilities. Adnan holds a B. Eng. from the University of Victoria, Electrical Engineering specializing in Industrial Automation and Robotics, and a Diploma in Electronics Technology, Process Automation and Instrumentation, from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.

Kim Keating, Independent Non-Executive Director

Contribution and Experience

Kim is a Professional Engineer with 25 years of broad international experience in the oil and gas, nuclear, hydropower, and mining sectors. Most recently, Kim was the Chief Operating Officer of the Cahill Group, one of Canada’s largest multi-disciplinary construction companies.   Prior to joining the Cahill Group in 2013, Kim held a variety of progressive leadership roles from engineering design through to construction, commissioning, production operations and offshore field development with Petro-Canada (now Suncor Energy Inc.).  She is currently Board chair of Major Drilling International Inc. and a non-executive director of Pan American Silver Corp and Victoria Gold Corp.  Kim is also a founding member of Makwa-Cahill Limited Partnership, a nuclear qualified indigenous fabrication company.  Kim is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree and an MBA.  She also holds the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation & Diligent Climate Leadership certification.  She is a graduate of the Rotman-Institute of Corporate Directors Education Program and was awarded her ICD.D designation.

Throughout her career, Kim has made significant engineering & project management contributions to complex major projects in the Canadian, Norwegian and UK energy sectors, bringing a wealth of strategy, operational leadership, and technical expertise to her roles.  She has a deep appreciation and insight into the value of community partnerships particularly with indigenous groups.
